Job Description

  • Complies with all safety rules, procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene in the department and follow 5S Housekeeping principles.
  • Checks that raw materials that enter his/her sector correspond with the required raw material of the product manufactured and return raw materials, not in use after a change of grade and/or product.
  • Load Materials on unwind
  • Prepares splices for all unwinds in this section.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem solving on all modules in this section.
  • Operates the mezzanine section of the diaper machine at target speeds to achieve the rate of operation targets. (MDH, Waste, Delay)
  • Acts as cover for any other operator when required.
  • Capture data regarding machine waste and delay and communicates this to the MOP for documentation and to effectively use this information for analysis and decision making on preventative actions.
  • Perform modular process health checks in line with center-lining guidelines.
  • Control material usage to minimize waste and material cost
  • Knows and actively participates in all work and repairs which are carried out in his/her sector by the support teams
  • Reports and informs team leader of the maintenance and improvement required of his sector.
  • During shift changes, communicates to the incoming operator all new occurrences, repairs, process changes and materials issues.

  • Ensure all pallets conform to agreed standards and  are of good quality
  • Operate stretch wrap machine and ensure all pallets are properly wrapped.
  • Knows and actively participate in all work and repairs which are carried out in his/her sector by the support teams
  • Reports and informs team leader of the maintenance and improvement required of his sector.
  • During shift changes, communicates to the incoming operator all new occurrences, repairs, process changes and materials issues.

Job Descriptions

  • Manage project to deliver the CT / DtV program in an efficient way and built on best practice tools, and strong mitigation plans with stakeholders/project multifunctional team.
  • Identify resources requirements and create multifunctional project team.
  • Work to agreed safety standards, act as an example and comply with company & country safety regulations.
  • Lead the local implementation of Global Renovation & Innovation projects from a product point of view.
  • Develop & Implement the Regional Product Improvement plans in partnership with Marketing & Mill in-line with agreed strategy & country.
  • Lead the implementation of Mill cost transformation initiatives relating to pants product and materials.
  • Provide local Technical mentoring support to the Mill for the implementation of product and equipment changes and provide technical direction to multifunction teams for all facility LCM activities.
  • Ensure security of material supply through qualification of local material vendors and manage material issues and risks prioritizing mitigation efforts and disaster recovery.
  • Stay close to the operational team by participating in daily production meetings, mentoring operational support of product and materials
  • Represent the interests of the customer /shopper/chooser/user within the facility by interfacing with Marketing, Quality & Mill Operation as appropriate.
  • Drive consumer understanding as related to product use. Participate in initiatives that aim to improve consumer satisfaction & where necessary lead projects to eliminate/reduce product design sources of consumer dissatisfaction or complaint.
  • Ensure facility compliance with Corporate, Sector and Regulatory requirements. Work with Regional team to ensure knowledge of competitive intelligence and patents.
  • Ensure full awareness of BU LCM activity and issues by appropriate, accurate and timely communication to all parts of the business.
  • Maintain the local specs and BOMS

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor or similar University Degree, or significant work place experience in the LCM, Research/Engineering or Operational/process fields.
  • Experience of working effectively in multifunctional teams.
  • English is essential.
  • Broad knowledge of the consumer insight of FMCG industry, production processes, and raw materials.
  • Flexible & Logical thinking to deliver the projects with the speed and accuracy.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills within multi-functional teams with representation at all levels.
  • The role is based in Lagos and occasion travel particularly to key customer locations will be required
